Who We Are

We are Ryan & Brittany Worthen, the owners of Reel Special Productions.

Ryan is a Yankee from Ohio who fell in love with Brittany, a Southern Belle from Tennessee. We met, married, and made a home for ourselves in the midst of the beautiful rolling hills of central Kentucky.

Whether filming a bride’s dream wedding, a commercial for a local business, a sports recruiting video or a documentary in a foreign land, Reel Special Productions is passionate about telling stories through film.  Our extensive experience in creative video productions has paved the way to a more unique style than you will find with your run-of-the-mill event “videographers”, and our goal is to provide each of our clients with a finished product that will touch their hearts in a way that still images simply cannot.

Ryan serves on the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass, is a past president of the Public Relations Society of America (Thoroughbred Chapter), and is also engaged in many other civic, community and charitable endeavors. He is a former collegiate tennis player and hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky.  He is an award-winning filmmaker who works tirelessly to capture, celebrate, and communicate special moments in the lives of others.

Brittany is also gifted behind the camera and has a knack for all things creative. Brittany is an elementary school teacher in Nicholasville, Kentucky where she inspires kids to achieve greatness. She finds fulfillment in seeing others believe in themselves, but she finds even greater satisfaction in loving others through her genuine spirit and her warm Southern hospitality.

Together, Ryan and Brittany are a dynamic team who believe in the power of storytelling through film.
