There is quite a bit of history surrounding A. Keller Farm in Cynthiana, Kentucky where this wedding video was filmed. Once a fierce battleground during the Civil War, the now-pristine farm property is home to a large family business owned by Rachel’s parents. Rachel spent nearly a decade of her life growing up on this farm and in March of last year her older sister Sarah tied the knot here (Sarah and Dustin also chose Reel Special Productions to capture their wedding day! Check out their wedding highlight video).

So it was only fitting that on Rachel’s wedding day, she and her fiancé Beau would say “I do” with the magnificent landscape as their backdrop. And when we say “magnificent” we’re not exaggerating in the least. Beau and Rachel’s fairy tale wedding was a dream come true not only for the couple, but also for the five hundred-or-so guests who joined in the one-of-a-kind celebration. Needless to say, Reel Special was honored to be present at this special event and worked tirelessly to ensure that all the special details were captured in the wedding video.

The wedding video officially started as soon as we rolled on to the property (seriously, we mounted a camera to our SUV and filmed the entrance since we knew from past visits that it would be spectacular). Tall trees surrounding the ceremony site provided the perfect amount of shade for guests and in storybook fashion, the processional concluded with the bride approaching in a horse-drawn carriage. The air was filled with the beautiful sounds of several talented musicians and in a matter of minutes, Beau and Rachel had declared their commitment to one another.

The reception was equally as breathtaking. Immediately upon entering the newly-built facility guests were met with a delicious spread of hors d’oeurves and an enormous ice sculpture. On the opposite end of the large facility the dance floor and stage could be found along with beef food carving stations and hosted bars scattered throughout the room. Once the live band started playing the celebration really kicked into full gear and we had a blast capturing all of the special reception elements (cake cutting, toasts, tosses, etc.) for the couple’s wedding video.

Last year Rachel’s sister and her new husband Dustin were driven away in a Bentley, but Rachel’s dad had something a bit more elaborate planned for Rachel and Beau’s departure this year. At the conclusion of the night guests were directed outside where a variety of heavy farm equipment surrounded a helicopter awaited the newlyweds. With their honeymoon bags packed and smiles from ear-to-ear, Beau and Rachel were carried away in the copter only to land on the rooftop of a four-star Louisville hotel before departing the next morning for the Caribbean (side note: We doubt it was any coincidence that the helicopter was the same color as all the heavy farm equipment surrounding it AND the color associated with the National Championship-winning Louisville Cardinals!).

We are extremely humbled and honored that the family chose to have Reel Special Productions capture both their daughters’ wedding videos, and we’re soooooo excited for Beau and Rachel to begin their journey through life together as husband and wife. Congrats, you two and thanks again for allowing us to be a part of your magical wedding day!
