Cody and Morgan were married on June 6, 2015 at Fasig-Tipton in Lexington, Kentucky and chose Reel Special Productions to capture their wedding video. Check it out below.
Cody and Morgan’s wedding at Fasig-Tipton was spectacular!
We l-o-v-e June weddings and couldn’t wait to capture Morgan and Cody’s big day! Although we hadn’t met Cody, we knew Morgan well…she’s our dental hygienist so Brittany and Morgan have been talking about wedding plans over the past year. We were thrilled to see everything come together and this Fasig-Tipton wedding was absolutely gorgeous!
We first arrived at Griffin Gate Marriott where Morgan and her bridesmaids were getting ready. Brittany was able to capture some wedding video footage of Morgan having last minute makeup touches done while Ryan was just across the hall with Cody capturing prep shots with his groomsmen. Morgan was beaming from ear to ear with excitement…it was so precious! And even though this day was supposed to be all about the bride and groom, Morgan was so thoughtful and sweet! Not only did she write a heartfelt letter to Cody, but she also had special surprise gifts and notes for both her parents.
Not long after Morgan was zipped and buttoned in her gorgeous, sparkling champagne wedding dress, we hopped on a golf cart along with the awesome dynamic duo Claire and Barrett Singleton with Claire Marie Photography and zoomed off to the location for Morgan and Cody’s first look. We positioned Cody and reminded him a couple times not to turn around…he was so excited to see his bride! Morgan arrived in a separate golf cart and gracefully walked up behind Cody to tap him on his shoulder. We loved capturing their reactions for the wedding video…Cody couldn’t stop hugging her! A few minutes later, we boarded the party bus with the bridal party and headed to Triangle Park and some other downtown landmarks to capture some epic shots (who would have ever guessed Abe Lincoln would be in so many Kentucky wedding videos?)!

Once we arrived for the wedding at Fasig-Tipton, the bridal party went inside to enjoy the cool air and the all-star team of vendors made the final preparations to get ready for the ceremony to begin. Both the ceremony and reception were held outdoors. Rows of classic wooden chairs were perfectly aligned and ivory rose petals were scattered along the center aisle. A quartet played classical music as guests arrived and were seated. Rather than go to the expense of having professionally-printed programs, Cody and Morgan employed their creativity and had a large chalkboard with a hand-lettered timeline on display for all to see. The minister did a wonderful job officiating the ceremony and both Morgan and Cody shared the vows and ring exchanges with ease and confidence. One of our favorite parts to capture for the wedding video is when the minister says, “You may now kiss your bride.” Cody didn’t hesitate for one second! The ceremony was sweet and Cody and Morgan could not stop smiling at one another.
The ceremony concluded and the guests made their way to where the reception would continue at this fantastic Fasig-Tipton wedding. Rayna with Always Planned did a beautiful job pulling everything together; the reception flowed seamlessly between the outdoor walking circles and the indoor venue. We loved the vibrant flowers that stood as the centerpieces for each table. Guests were able to choose their seats after the cocktail hour, but most people made their way to the glassed-in bar area where televisions were displaying the Belmont Stakes. If Cody and Morgan’s wedding at Fasig-Tipton wasn’t a big enough win, seeing the guests celebrate as American Pharaoh won the Triple Crown was a pretty awesome thing for us to be able to include in the wedding video! Guests were treated to a buffet meal, and soon after Larry Lee with SoundWave Mobile Disc Jockey got the dance floor rocking. Larry is without question one of our all-time favorite DJs and he never disappoints! Everyone had a great time dancing and partying all before Cody and Morgan’s glow stick send off! We couldn’t have asked for anything more at this beautiful Fasig-Tipton wedding!
The wedding reception at Fasig-Tipton was absolutely gorgeous and Larry Lee with SoundWave Mobile DJ kept the party rocking!
