It feels like forever ago when Laura contacted us about filming her wedding video. Laura and Dillon were both busy in school so nailing down their vendors early on was key in their wedding planning process. We loved talking with Laura this past summer to hear details of their big day. You could definitely hear how excited she was about marrying her groom and we were excited to be heading back down south to film another beautiful London, Kentucky wedding.

We first arrived at the church where Laura was with her bridesmaids and Dillon with his groomsmen. Since there wasn’t going to be a first look before the ceremony, it was important to keep them hidden from one another as we were outside capturing footage for the wedding video. Laura looked absolutely perfect in her fitted white wedding dress. And that red hair! Gorgeous! Her bridesmaids were a lot of fun to be around, especially being around one of our former brides who tied the knot at Talon Winery…Morgan! Both Laura and Dillon seemed so laid back and were so excited to see one another. We loved getting to spend time with them both before the events of the evening unfolded. Before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony to begin!

The wedding reception was held at Evening Shade Farm in London, Kentucky.

The ceremony was located at First Presbyterian Church in London, Kentucky. This was an exceptionally beautiful church located in the heart of London. The flower-covered arch made for an elegant entryway into the sanctuary and the pews were lined with ribbon and flowers that highlighted the beautiful wood floor. Prior to the start of the ceremony, Dillon’s dad sang a beautiful piece accompanied by the piano. Laura walked down the aisle to Dillon and oh. my. goodness! Dillon’s reaction of seeing his bride was so precious! (Side note: Capturing the groom’s reaction of seeing his bride walk down the aisle is one of Brittany’s MOST favorite moments of the entire wedding day and we love when we’re able to capture this for the wedding video!) There were other special parts to their ceremony, including Laura’s uncle officiating the first part of the ceremony and special music as they assembled the unity cross (Another side note: A unity cross is a way a bride and groom can celebrate their marriage of becoming one. Here’s how the wedding unity cross works.) Everything about their ceremony was perfect and we loved celebrating with them!

Following the ceremony, guests made the short drive to the reception but before we left the church we got some great footage while working alongside Lisa with A Beautiful History Photography (she was so awesome)! After capturing shots of Laura and Dillon with their families, we whisked the newlyweds outside with their bridal party to get more beautiful wedding video footage on the back property of the church. Not long after this, we loaded up our gear and headed down the road where the reception was taking place.

The reception was held under a beautiful tent on Evening Shade Farm.

The reception was held at Evening Shade Farm (belonging to Laura’s dad). When we arrived a beautiful white tent was set up on the front of the property and guests were enjoying an assortment of fruits and cheeses before the newlyweds were introduced. Each table was beautifully decorated with black and white damask table clothes with stunning red roses as the centerpiece. An incredible buffet meal was served from David’s Steakhouse (which just so happens to be owned and operated by Dillon’s dad). One of our most favorite parts of the entire evening was stealing the bride and groom for a brief golden-hour sunset photo and wedding video moment. The sunset was absolutely STUNNING that evening…thank you God! We so enjoyed sharing these few minutes with the bride and groom while their guests enjoyed their meal. Laura and Dillon’s love was simply radiant!

We loved being a part of Laura and Dillon’s wedding day. Laura and Dillon, we hope that as you look back on your wedding video you will be able to relive and cherish your amazing day. We are so honored and grateful that you chose us to capture it and wish you all the best for many years to come!
