Scott and Morgan were married on April 30, 2016 at the Apiary in downtown Lexington, Kentucky and chose Reel Special Productions to capture their wedding video. Check it out below.

Scott and Morgan opted not to do a first look, but that didn’t stop them from sharing a special moment together before the ceremony.

We. Love. This. Couple. Scott and Morgan are one of a kind! We loved meeting with them before they were engaged to talk about the possibility of filming their wedding video. Yes, that’s right…BEFORE they were engaged! They both knew what they wanted and weren’t afraid to “save the date” with us. We feel like Scott and Morgan are more like our friends considering how much we’ve seen them and talked to them over the past year…church, art fairs, and our beloved Wild Eggs Café! The anticipation of filming this dream wedding with what we’d like to call a dream team had us wishing this past year would fly by!

We first arrived at the new 21c hotel in downtown Lexington. Brittany made her way up to the suite on the fifteenth floor while Ryan headed over to Gratz Park Inn to be with Scott and his groomsmen. Morgan was finishing with her makeup by the super-talented Dana Peddicord with PinkLouLou Design Studio. And, can we just take a minute to give PinkLouLou Design Studio a huge shout out? We LOVE those girls to pieces and love how they make brides feel absolutely beautiful! Morgan had final touches done to her hair before she rounded up her bridesmaids to do some fun photos in their matching robes. We love capturing these kinds of moments for the wedding video — fun, laughter and pure joy! Another part of this epic day was working alongside Alicia Fierro with Aesthetiica Photography. We love her personality, her creativity and how she works her magic with the camera! After getting some fun shots, the girls toasted one last time before Morgan stepped into her wedding dress.

Once the dress was on, Morgan was glowing and absolutely beautiful. Her girls gathered round her oooh-ing and ahhh-ing at how perfect she looked. We loved having this time to capture Morgan and her bridal party before the hustle and bustle of the day began and it sure made for some sweet moments for the wedding video! Ryan was able to capture some pretty fun shots with the guys, too!

Once we got to the ceremony venue, the girls headed down to the wine cellar at the Apiary. You all. This place. Is. AHHHMAAAAZZZZINNNGGG!!! We fell in love with this venue as soon as we stepped foot inside. It’s now one of our absolute favorite venues in Lexington, and we were so ecstatic to be filming a wedding video there! Even though Scott and Morgan weren’t planning to do a first look, they still wanted to share a special moment together with no one else around. A special moment it was! The couple hid around the corner from one another and held hands. They talked, laughed, and even cried together while sharing the excitement and love they were both feeling. All the feels and praise hands for this couple, y’all!

flower-wall-lexington

Doug Smith Designs & Events provided this INCREDIBLE flower wall for Scott and Morgan’s wedding in Lexington, Kentucky.

While the original plan was to have the ceremony at Gratz Park, due to light showers in the area on their wedding day the ceremony was moved to the Apiary. Thankfully, Amber Bowling with Divine Soiree planned this wedding event to perfection and Doug Smith Designs + Events from creating floral masterpieces at every turn (I mean…did you see that GORGEOUS flower wall?! So awesome!). It cascaded some of the most beautiful hydrangeas and roses we’d ever seen. These guys definitely have an eye for design! And we also can’t brag enough about how amazing Amber was not just on the wedding day, but leading up to the event. She kept us well-informed and up-to-date on all the important details, plus she was just a TON of fun! THANK YOU, Amber!!!

One of our favorite parts of the ceremony was when Kelly Jennings (aka “KJ”), the minister, shared letters that Morgan and Scott had written about each other. Did you hear their sweet words in the wedding video? It was simply precious! Their love for one another and for the Lord is beautiful. Not to mention, we think they’re love for their two dogs is pretty awesome and the fact they starred as ring bearers in the ceremony (we are some major dog lovers ourselves)! Oh, we can’t forget one of Brittany’s other favorite parts of the entire ceremony…the way Scott looked at Morgan as she walked down the aisle. Brittany is convinced you can tell a lot about how much a man loves a woman by the way he looks at her, and we’re pretty sure Scott’s look said it all. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and we loved all the special aspects, including each of their parents signing the inside of a Bible for the newlyweds to keep in their home.

The reception was also held at Apiary in downtown Lexington. Guests enjoyed a fabulous cocktail hour while the staff flawlessly transformed the ceremony space into one of the reception rooms. Every detail of the reception was immaculate. Amber and the Divine Soiree team worked with Morgan’s family for over a year planning this event and they sure did make it come to life in a spectacular way! We’re pretty sure everyone was blown away by the beauty and elegance of it all (we certainly were!).

The amazing flower wall stood as the backdrop in the reception area with a gold monogram of Scott and Morgan’s initials. Candles were lit, flowers were abounding and everyone enjoyed an evening with family and friends celebrating the newlyweds. We had such a blast at the reception. From the hilarious speech Morgan’s maid of honor gave to the epic dance moves we caught on the wedding video … one thing is for sure, this wedding was a celebration fitting for two amazing people!

The newlyweds departed the Apiary in Lexington through a gallery of guests waving sparklers in the rain. It was simply magical!

We loved being a part of Scott and Morgan’s wedding day. Scott and Morgan, we hope that as you look back on your wedding video you will enjoy reliving and cherishing your amazing day. We are so honored and grateful that you chose us to capture it and wish you all the best for many years to come!
