Andrew and Lauren were married on August 3, 2013 at The Coal Reserve in Somerset, Kentucky and chose Reel Special Productions to capture their wedding video. Check it out below.

He’s in medical school. She’s in dental school. Needless to say, Andrew and Lauren didn’t have a lot of extra time on their hands, but this lovely couple wasn’t going to let anything stand in the way of “happily ever after.”

The venue they selected was a rustic and private setting which could accommodate both the ceremony and reception. Family and friends gathered together to celebrate a special day with the bride and groom. Andrew and Lauren decided not to do a first look, so we had the privilege of capturing that AWESOME moment when the groom sees his bride for the very first time as her father brings her down the aisle. Andrew’s reaction was absolutely priceless!

The ceremony was held outside at The Coal Reserve in a beautiful, open field. As guests arrived, they were directed to follow the flower-lined path to the ceremony location. Hand made signs decorated the area with sweet sayings and scripture verses. We were able to capture many hand made things on the wedding video, such as the picture filled aisle runner with special memories of the bride and groom. Guests kept cool as they fanned themselves with an originally designed program-on-a-stick (fun AND practical!).

Andrew and Lauren’s dog, Harry, was the handsomely-dressed ring bearer and was as cute as could be! We caught some fun playtime on the wedding video of Harry running around the pond before he was called over to take more pictures. He was such a fun little guy to be around! Another highlight included Andrew and Lauren exchanging their personally-written wedding vows…the words that were shared between the two were simply beautiful.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds took pictures with their family and the bridal party while guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the second floor of The Coal Reserve. Fun moments were captured on the wedding video (can you say “jumping shot!”) as well as sweet moments with Lauren and her dad and Andrew with his dad and brother. We especially loved capturing the heart-felt notes that Lauren had written on the bottom of her bridesmaids’ shoes.

The reception was held inside The Coal Reserve. After Andrew and Lauren were introduced, guests were able to enjoy a buffet dinner. The reception area was immaculately decorated with tall vases and flowers cascading from the top as their centerpieces. She Bakes Cakes created an elegant wedding cake and a groom’s cake with a medical theme to it. Lauren’s best friend and maid-of-honor as well as the groom’s brother and best man offered toasts. Once everyone enjoyed a piece of cake, they were directed to the second floor of The Coal Reserve to enjoy a night of dancing and fun.

Family and friends celebrated throughout the night with Andrew and Lauren before lining up to wish them well on their sparkler send-off. The bride and groom followed a heart-lined path to their limo, and each of the large paper hearts had hand-written moments and memories telling the story of the couple’s relationship.

Even though their wedding may have felt like a whirlwind, they wisely chose Reel Special Productions to capture their wedding video so they can relive all the incredible moments they experienced throughout their wedding day. Andrew and Lauren were both so sweet to work with and we were honored to capture their wedding video! We wish you guys many years of happiness and love!
