Austin and Kelsey were married on December 20, 2014 at John L. Hill Chapel in Georgetown, Kentucky and chose Reel Special Productions to capture their wedding video. Check it out below.

Austin and Kelsey were married in Georgetown, Kentucky.

Austin and Kelsey were married on the campus of Georgetown College in Kentucky.

From the moment we met Austin and Kelsey, we knew they were a special couple and the love between them seemed strong. Kelsey was beaming from ear to ear as we discussed the details of their wedding day, and after hearing the magical ideas and winter-wonderland vision she had for the big day, we were so delighted when she and Austin chose us to capture their wedding video.

We arrived at the chapel a few minutes early to capture aerial footage for the wedding video. We moved inside where Kelsey was hanging out with her bridesmaids while Austin was playing cards with his groomsmen. These two were so excited yet so calm and we just loved being there to capture it all.

Kelsey did a great job holding back her tears when she received a sweet letter from Austin along with a beautiful wintery bouquet of flowers. A few minutes later she stepped into her gorgeous lace wedding dress and made her way to the chapel where the first look took place. We couldn’t wait to capture the look on Austin’s face; to say that Kelsey looked stunning would be quite an understatement!

Before seeing Austin for the first time, Kelsey did a first look with her Dad…it was so precious! After Dad had a chance to spend a few minutes with his daughter before giving her away, we cleared the chapel and had Austin stand at the end of the candlelit aisle. The winter-wonderland themed chapel came to life as Kelsey gracefully walked down to meet her groom. She touched Austin on the shoulder and he didn’t hesitate before turning around. We loved capturing the priceless look on Austin’s face when he saw his bride for the first time! All we talked about the entire day was how blessed and honored we felt to capture such an amazing wedding video for Kelsey, Austin and their loved ones.

The wedding ceremony took place in the chapel at Georgetown College.

The ceremony took place at John L. Hill Chapel on the campus of Georgetown College. We wished everyone could have stepped foot in this immaculately-decorated chapel…the wedding video footage is beautiful but it simply won’t compare to being there. Silver tree branches with hanging tea lights towered over the pews throughout the chapel. Hundreds of candles illuminated the aisle way and along the chapel stage. While the decor of the chapel was awe-inspiring, the best part of the ceremony was in the special elements that made it personal. Austin and Kelsey’s grandfathers took turns officiating the wedding, offering charges and administering the vows to their respective grandchild. After exchanging rings and a final prayer, in unison the grandfathers pronounced Austin and Kelsey “husband and wife.” We just love when a ceremony is not only focused on celebrating the commitment between newlyweds, but also on the commitment we have made to follow Christ. This is one of the many reasons why we love producing wedding videos!

The reception was held at the Carrick House in downtown Lexington. Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour complete with Ale-8-One and a hot chocolate bar, all while chatting around the beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Guests were also treated to a special surprise: Santa Claus! Yes, Santa was there and he joyfully spread around the Christmas cheer!

After the bridal party was introduced along with the newly-married Mr. and Mrs. Meek, guests enjoyed dinner options from a variety of buffet stations while Christmas music played in the background. Austin and Kelsey shared their first dance together then Kelsey and her Dad took the dance floor. For the first minute the bride and her father moved gracefully across the dance floor with their ballroom style moves, but then the music suddenly changed and in the blink of an eye Kelsey and her Dad were “Getting’ Jiggy Wit It!” One word = EPIC. We ended the evening capturing a lively dance party thanks to Kentucky Pro DJ (Jason Henninger), and we got some hilarious dancing footage for the wedding video! The entire evening was perfect and we loved being there to capture Austin and Kelsey’s beautiful sparkler send-off and departure in a gorgeous white Bentley.
