JB and Hannah were married in a beautiful wedding in Louisville, Kentucky, on March 13, 2021, and Reel Special got to capture their wedding video.
JB and Hannah are officers in the United States Navy and met while attending the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Their love story started after JB’s multiple attempts to ask Hannah to come to one of his house parties, but Hannah politely declined each time. Eventually, JB invited her to coffee, and their relationship blossomed until JB asked Hannah to marry him in an elaborately planned proposal.
Since the couple actively serve on separate Navy ships, planning a wedding was no small task so they enlisted the help of Hannah’s mother, Shellee, and Giselle Smith, a highly respected wedding planner based in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Together, the wedding came together seamlessly in spite of numerous challenges.
The preparations took place at the Omni Louisville, a magnificent new hotel in the heart of downtown. Once the wedding party was dressed and ready, we all boarded a party bus and headed for St. James Catholic Church in Elizabethtown where the ceremony took place. Following the ceremony, we returned to the Omni and captured wedding video footage of the newlyweds and their bridal party.
