Justin and Lauren were married on September 10, 2016, in Frankfort, Kentucky, and chose Reel Special Productions to capture their wedding video. Check it out below.

Capital City Christian Church

Justin and Lauren were married at Capital City Christian Church in Frankfort, Kentucky.

We met Lauren about a year ago and loved her sweet personality right from the start. She was beyond ecstatic about marrying Justin and smiled from ear to ear as she shared every detail with us. Lauren knows a thing or two about weddings considering she is one of the talented event coordinators at Keeneland, one of the top wedding venues in Kentucky. Lauren knew exactly what she wanted and we knew we wanted to be a part of her best day ever! Filming a wedding video for Justin and Lauren would be a dream come true and we were over the moon excited when she told us she was ready to seal the deal!

We first arrived at Lauren’s parent’s home in Frankfort, Kentucky. This house, y’all. It was right out of a Southern Living magazine and absolutely beautiful! Lauren, of course, was glowing and so ready to slip into her stunning wedding gown, but first we captured a private moment for the wedding video where she read the letter she had written to Justin. This letter…cue the tears! She started writing a letter to her future husband BEFORE she even met him, so it was tugging at all the heart strings as she described her hopes and dreams for the future. Lauren knew God had someone incredibly special picked out for her, and God sure didn’t disappoint!

Lauren was beaming and could not wait to see her groom. She got some precious snuggles with her puppies and time with her bridesmaids before her mom helped her zip her beautiful wedding dress. Lauren looked simply stunning and we were so happy to document such sweet moments!

A few minutes before heading to the church, Lauren had a first look with her Dad and we loved capturing it for the wedding video. The moment they saw each other was PRECIOUS! Lauren loves her Dad and little did she know that he had a very sweet surprise for her! After they hugged, Lauren’s dad handed her a small blue jewelry box. Inside was a beautiful pair of diamond earrings. Yes, real diamonds with ALLLLL the sparkle! Lauren’s mom helped her put them in and before we knew it, it was time to head to the church where Lauren would share a first look with her groom.

Buffalo Trace Distillery was a perfect destination for some great wedding photos and wedding video footage!

We had a few minutes with Justin before Lauren arrived and loved capturing him reading his letter to Lauren for the wedding video. After he finished reading his letter, we had Justin get into place. Lauren came walking through the sanctuary doors and gracefully had Justin turn around so he could see his bride for the first time. This moment was magic and so, so sweet. These two are definitely head-over-heels in love with one another and it was so evident in every part of the day.

Everyone gathered on the party bus and went to the beautiful Buffalo Trace Distillery. If you were following our Instagram Story on the wedding day, you’d know this was Brittany’s first time at a bourbon distillery and she was pretty excited to film Justin and Lauren with the beautiful scenery in the background. We had a great time working alongside our besties, Matt and Kelsey with The Malicotes, and together we got some amazing photos and footage for the wedding video. And can we just talk about how cute the ring bearers and flower girls were on this perfect wedding day? Oh my stars those kiddos were the sweetest!

The ceremony was held at Capital City Christian Church in Frankfort, Kentucky. This is Lauren’s family’s home church so it was only fitting that her and Justin would marry here. And did you see the awesome time lapse on the wedding video? The breathtaking blue sky was on point…thank you for the spectacular scenery, God! Inside, the sanctuary was beautifully decorated with floor-to-ceiling draped curtains centered with a glowing chandelier. The magnificent grand piano and candle-covered table made for a beautiful display where the ceremony would take place.

Everything at the beginning of the wedding ceremony went off without a hitch and the minister shared a special message that challenged the bride and groom to keep Christ at the center of their relationship. As the ceremony came to a close, Justin leaned in to kiss his bride and they were pronounced as Mr. and Mrs. Melloan!

We made our way over to the reception at Manchester Music Hall in Lexington, Kentucky. This venue was beautifully decorated with tall floral centerpieces and café lights strung across the room. Everything was so perfectly designed! Diane with Type A Catering blew it out of the water with a three-station buffet that guests thoroughly enjoyed.

Justin and Lauren’s first dance was beyond awesome as they had been practicing for months, then Larry Lee with SoundWave Mobile DJ had the place rocking as guests danced the night away! The reception ended with smiles on everyone’s faces as Justin and Lauren departed the room while the guests waved ribbons and rang bells to celebrate such an amazing day!
