Barry and Kristen were married on September 12, 2015 at Central Christian Church in Lexington, Kentucky and chose Reel Special Productions to capture their wedding video. Check it out below.
Central Christian Church is a beautiful wedding venue in Lexington, Kentucky.
We met with Barry and Kristen at one of our favorite wedding consultation spots earlier this year and they booked us on the spot (y’all sure know how to make a couple wedding video people feel loved!). We loved sitting down and getting to know these two and we especially loved how excited they seemed to want to work with us to film their wedding video. It is such an honor for us to create wedding films and when couples are over the moon excited about working with us, we tend to be just a little more excited about working with them, too! And even though September seemed like forever away, it sure got here in a hurry but we weren’t mad about that since we knew this was going to be an amazing wedding day!
We arrived at Central Christian Church where the bridal party would be getting ready. Before Kristen and her bridesmaids made their way to the church, we were able to hang out with Barry and some of his groomsmen to capture shots of the preparations which we love to include in our wedding video. Once Kristen arrived with her girls, we headed upstairs to the bridal suite to get some shots of her stunning lace dress. After Kristen was dressed, her bridesmaids and mom gathered near her as she read a hand written letter from Barry. And by letter, we mean the sweetest, heartfelt three-page poem Barry had written for his beautiful bride. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room!
Barry and Kristen shared their vows in front of hundreds of family and friends in a beautiful wedding ceremony at Central Christian Church in Lexington, KY.
Once we were done capturing the intimate letter-reading moments for the wedding video, we coordinated the couple’s first look with the fabulous Vidyuta, our good friend and talented photographer behind the lens of Five by Five Photography. Kristen and Barry were both so excited to see each other and their reaction did not disappoint! Moments later the bridal party gathered outside the church and we headed for Main Street in downtown Lexington to capture stunning shots of everyone for the wedding video. Before we knew it, it was time to head back to the church and hide the bride and groom before the ceremony began.
The wedding ceremony was located at Central Christian Church in Lexington, Kentucky. This church is a favorite simply for its beauty, and Carol Lynn Originals & Events sure brought in some gorgeous décor. Family and friends gathered to see this beautiful couple tie the knot. The minister challenged Barry and Kristen to have a Christ-centered marriage and after the vows were recited to one another, guests crowded together outside of the church for a bubble send-off.
The couple had a beautiful wedding reception at The Grand Reserve in downtown Lexington. And did you see Barry and Kristen’s fun entrance wearing props from the Just Say Cheez photo booth? I mean…These two were SO MUCH FUN! After the newlyweds were introduced they enjoyed a delicious buffet meal catered by Bluegrass Catering before making their way over to the dance floor. Their first dance with one another was so precious and their love for one another radiated the entire day. Once they cut their cake (we have to give a big shout out to The Cake Lady on the beautiful and super-delicious cake…Brittany loves her some wedding cake!), Kristen and Barry’s closest loved ones gave heartfelt wedding toasts (which were pretty darn funny, too!). As soon as the toasts wrapped up our all-time favorite Lexington band — Superfecta — had the dance floor hoppin’ (we might have even busted a dance move or two while no one was looking)! Seriously, Kristen and Barry were such a sweet couple and it was such a joy for us to capture their wedding video. We just can’t say enough good things about these two!
The wedding reception at the Grand Reserve in Lexington was a perfect place for the newlyweds to celebrate their wedding night!
