David + Erin were married on June 10, 2017, in Nicholasville, Kentucky, and chose Reel Special Productions to capture their wedding video. Check it out below.
These two are a match made in heaven who had the sweetest love for one another. We were so excited when they told us they wanted us to capture their wedding video, and we were over the moon when we learned they would marry at Southland Christian Church since it just so happens to be the same location we were married six and a half years ago. Ah!
We started filming at Talon Winery where David and Erin would see one another for the first time on their wedding day. Erin and her bridesmaids had just arrived minutes after we pulled up with all their makeup and hair done from the fabulous Mickey Salon. They headed inside and soon put their gorgeous sparkly dresses on. Ryan spent some time with the guys as they got dressed, and David was so excited to see his bride…it was precious! After we captured some footage of the preparations for the wedding video, it was time for Erin to step into her stunning gown. Erin’s mom was there to help button and fasten her dress. Erin was glowing and we were SO honored to be there capturing her wedding video!
Once David and Erin were both ready, it was time for their first look. There are so many beautiful spots at Talon Winery for the first look, so we decided to seek out a spot in the shade where Erin could walk up to David. It was a scorcher of a day with the temperature reaching into the nineties, so we were all for doing everything we could to keep David and Erin from “glistening”…haha! As you can tell from the wedding video, David was pretty antsy but once he finally saw his bride he was blown away at the sight. David had Erin twirling and smiling from ear to ear and her beauty was simply captivating to him. It was awesome!
The ceremony was held at the Wayne B. Smith Chapel at Southland Christian Church in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The space is incredibly intimate and surrounded by colorful stained glass windows. Our good friend KJ led the ceremony and did a fantastic job as always. He shared what both David and Erin had written about each other and the reasons they loved one another.
As you heard if you’ve already watched the wedding video highlights, David lost both his Mom and Grandfather in a relatively short period of time, but Erin was God’s redeeming light for his life. The ceremony was a good reminder about how God has been the author of David and Erin’s story and that the love they share is pretty special (and we may or may not have teared up a bit in the back of the chapel). Okay, who are we kidding…Brittany totally shed some tears over the sweet memory from their own wedding there several years ago. Needless to say, David and Erin shared their vows, kissed and were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Baker!
The reception was held at the picturesque Talon Winery. Tables were decorated with beautiful bouquets of hydrangeas…our favorite! Friends and family enjoyed a delicious meal catered by the amazing Thelma Johns of Gourmet Goodies. We love Thelma!!! David and Erin made their way to each table to hug and thank their guests for coming. How sweet is that? Before long, they headed over to cut their cake. And can we just talk for a minute about how cute their cake table was?! It was covered with mini cupcakes and a variety of yummy cookies. Brittany was in heaven!
One of our favorite parts of the reception was the best man’s toast. You all! Did you see the end of the wedding video? He WROTE a song for David and Erin!!! He was so touched to be in the wedding and stand next to David as his very best friend from childhood that he cried all the happy tears and wrote them a song. It was AMAZING! Soon after, the DJ opened up the dance floor and friends and family danced the evening away. We loved ending the evening with David and Erin by capturing some epic sunset shots…probably some of our all time favorites!
David and Erin, we absolutely LOVED filming your wedding! We hope that as you look back on your wedding video you will be able to relive and cherish your amazing day as if it were yesterday. We are so honored and grateful that you chose us to capture it and wish you all the best for many years to come!
