Jeff and Blair were married on November 6, 2021, at UK Spindletop Hall in Lexington, Kentucky, and Reel Special captured their wedding video!
Jeff and Blair are two incredible souls who couldn’t be a better match for one another. You can just tell these two are best friends, and we could sense that from the first moment we met them. We also realized pretty quickly into our conversation that their wedding was going to be absolutely incredible, especially when Blair shared their wedding details including celebrating at Spindletop since it is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Lexington (and all of Kentucky)!
When the wedding day arrived, we headed to Spindletop and made sure to capture some beautiful aerial footage of Spindletop and the surrounding horse farms. Blair and her bridesmaids were getting ready in one of the large rooms upstairs, and we felt right at home when we walked in and saw makeup artist Allison Jenks with Blush and Glow Lex putting the finishing touches on the bride and the bridesmaids. We hung Blair’s stunning wedding gown from one of the chandeliers in an adjacent room and captured a couple of quick shots for the wedding video.
And can we just swoon over that wedding dress for a moment? This elegant wedding gown appeared to be perfectly designed just for Blair, and the moment she did a reveal with her bridesmaids at the bottom of the grand spiral staircase, her best friends’ smiles spoke volumes about how beautiful she looked. We were fighting back the tears as Blair read the sweetest letter Jeff had written to her. We so adore it when couples write letters to one another, and we knew at that moment this was going to be an important element for the wedding video!
It was soon time to head outside where Jeff and Blair would share their first look. We worked alongside the talented Claire and Barrett Photography to plan the perfect first look spot, but let’s be honest…there really isn’t a bad spot at the Spindletop! The moment the couple saw each other was simply priceless! Jeff loved seeing his bride for the first time on their wedding day, and it was clear this sweet couple was ready to celebrate the day together!
The wedding ceremony was held on the backside of the majestic Spindletop Hall. The officiant was a dear friend of the bride and groom and has had a front-row seat to seeing Jeff and Blair grow in their relationship. One of our favorite parts of the wedding ceremony was when Jeff and Blair held a coin flip to see who would share their vows first. Too funny! The newlyweds concluded the ceremony by sealing their vows with a kiss, and just like that we were packing up our wedding video gear and heading to the reception to celebrate with the couples’ loved ones.
An outdoor cocktail hour had guests mingling with one another while snacking on delicious hors d’oeuvres and sipping cocktails. Every detail of the day was executed perfectly thanks to the hard work of Angela Sallee with Bit by Bit Events, and the vibrant greenery served as the perfect complement to the already-breathtaking wedding venue.
The evening concluded with a delicious dinner, followed by speeches and special dances before guests were treated to live entertainment from Diamond Empire Band.
