John + Elizabeth were married on August 26, 2017 in Lexington, Kentucky, and chose Reel Special Productions to capture their wedding video. Check it out below.

The couple’s wedding was in the Kentucky Room at Fasig-Tipton in Lexington, Kentucky.

John and Elizabeth were just the sweetest couple! They are every bit of southern charm that you can imagine and a match made in heaven. Brittany met Elizabeth shortly after she was engaged, and it was clear this bride-to-be was full of excitement as she planned her dream wedding. We were elated when Elizabeth chose us to film her wedding video!

We first arrived at Griffin Gate Marriott where the bridal party was getting ready. We headed up to the bridal suite where we were greeted by Elizabeth’s lovely bridesmaids. The girls were finishing up with makeup details while Elizabeth was getting a gorgeous updo by GlamLex. After a little pop of champagne and a wedding day toast with her best girls, Elizabeth was ready to slip on her dress. Now let’s just pause for a minute…This dress, y’all…it was handcrafted by Elizabeth’s very own mother! YES! You read that right. Her sweet momma made her wedding dress and it was STUNNING! The lace design and stitch work was absolutely breathtaking and the buttons lining up the back completed the perfect look. We loved capturing on the wedding video Elizabeth’s mom helping her with her dress and tying the ribbon as the last part of getting her ready. Elizabeth looked so incredibly beautiful!

Brittany stayed with the girls while Ryan took a card and gift from Elizabeth up to John’s room where he was getting ready with his groomsmen. We LOVE when we’re able to capture the bride and groom reading their letters to one another for the wedding video! We know this takes time and requires some thought on the couple’s part, but you all, it really sets the mood for one of the best parts of the day…the first look!

Groom sees his bride at Fasig-Tipton wedding

John was so excited to see his bride walking towards him!

We positioned John beneath a beautiful willow tree (aw, Willow!) and minutes later, Elizabeth arrived to see her groom! When John turned around and looked at his bride all he could talk about was just how beautiful she looked. And did you hear on the wedding video how he complimented Elizabeth’s mom on how perfect the wedding dress looked? See…we told you it was amazing!

We have filmed several weddings at Fasig-Tipton, but this was the first time we filmed the ceremony in the Kentucky Room and we LOVED it. Goodness was it beautiful…the barn wood lining the walls and the gorgeous chandelier were just incredible! The minister led one of the most heartfelt ceremonies we’ve ever heard and talked so much about John and Elizabeth’s love for one another. He talked about how they met, how their love grew, and how their relationship will continue to grow as they serve others and challenge each other to keep God at the center. The ceremony ended with John and Elizabeth mixing dirt they collected from outside each of their family’s homes and they poured it over a tree they will plant outside their new home. It was perfect!

The reception was also held at Fasig-Tipton, and the beautiful weather helped make their cocktail hour a smashing success. While the newlyweds were having photos captured with their bridal party and family by the super-talented Dani Ford, guests enjoyed sipping drinks and playing fun games like giant Jenga and corn hole. Once the bride and groom were introduced at the reception and did their first dance as husband and wife, guests were invited to enjoy a buffet meal catered by the fabulous DaRae and Friends. Seriously…their food is SO good! We snagged the couple to get some epic sunset shots, filmed the special dances with the couple’s parents and documented the sweetest toasts by the best man, maid of honor and the father of the bride. It was such a perfect night with the sweetest couple!
