Tim and Allison were married on October 14, 2017, in Lexington, Kentucky and chose Reel Special Productions to capture their wedding video. Check it out below.

PinkLouLou ties the knot in Lexington

Tim and Allison were married at St. Peter Catholic Church in Lexington, Kentucky.

Every love story we get to share is special to us, but when you have a front row seat to watch a couple’s relationship develop it takes filming to a whole new level for us.

Our roots with Allison go way back. As the co-owner of the incredible hair and makeup team Pinkloulou Design Studio, we first met Allison at a charity event many years ago, but after working somewhere in the neighborhood of one hundred gazillion weddings alongside her, she’s since become one of our closest friends. She is literally one of the most generous and thoughtful people in this world. Her heart for her family and friends is simply beautiful, and her inner beauty only makes her glow on the outside that much more.

Enter Tim. We had the privilege of seeing Allison reconnect and fall in love. We prayed hard that God would bless Allison with the perfect man and my goodness, did He come through! The way Tim loves Allison is one of the sweetest things you will see on this side of heaven. Seriously. These two are SO cute together and we think they pretty much take the prize for being the all-star couple everyone else wishes they could be like. When Allison asked us to film their wedding video…well let’s just say that we may have shed a tear or two. It was one of our greatest honors this far in our wedding video business to film the wedding of our dear friend, Allison Johnson, also known as the Pinkloulou queen herself.

When it came to the wedding day, we knew even the preparations would be a unique and important part of the story. Allison spends nearly every Saturday glamming a bridal party in one hotel or another, so she decided instead to invite all her bridesmaids over and get ready in the comfort of her own home. We love when brides (and grooms!) make plans that help minimize stress on their big day, and we can say beyond the shadow of a doubt that figuring out the little details like “where we get ready?” have a significant impact on the way we piece together the wedding video.

When we said that Allison is generous and thoughtful, we weren’t just making that up. Even on her wedding day, Allie took the time to glam her bridesmaids and let us just tell you…they all looked stunning! This girl is such a talented artist and just a joy to be around (and no, this is not a plug to book her for your hair & makeup needs or anything…but if you wanted to learn more about her services, I’m sure it should be easy to track down her website).

Once all the bridesmaids were dressed, Allison put on her beautiful Hayley Paige wedding gown from none other than Twirl Boutique in Lexington. Allie looked absolutely flawless!

Meanwhile, Ryan stopped in and captured Tim and his best man getting ready. Tim wore a navy blue suit with a light pink tie; it matched all the wedding day colors, of course! We documented both Tim and Allison reading their sweet letters to one another (we love incorporating this audio into the wedding video highlights sometimes!). Once the preparations were complete, it was time to head out for the first look!
We drove over to Ashland (also known as the Henry Clay Estate) where the first look would take place. We worked alongside the incredibly talented photography team of Claire and Barrett to pick out the perfect spot for Tim and Allison to first see one another on their wedding day. And can we just say that it makes the day incredibly special when all of your close friends are working together with the bride and groom? We’ve known Claire and Barrett almost as long as we’ve known Allison, and there is no question that working with an awesome team allows us to produce the absolute best wedding video possible!

Claire and Ryan found a great spot for Tim to stand and before we knew it, Allison was making the graceful walk towards her groom. The first look was MAGIC. Tim was in awe (as we all expected) and his reaction was nothing short of priceless. Moments like this are EVERYTHING.

Wedding sisters in Lexington

The wedding party included Allison’s two sisters and several other dear friends to the bride and groom.

After the first look, we took some time to enjoy the beautiful scenery at Ashland and documented the fun as bridal party and family photos were snapped. We also captured some stunning wedding video footage of Tim twirling his bride-to-be…we love getting “action” shots and that gorgeous dress was made to be swayed!

The ceremony took place in the beautiful St. Peter’s Catholic Church in downtown Lexington. Friends and family filled the pews to see this beloved couple say their I do’s. The priest gave a heartfelt message to the bride and groom while challenging them to always strive to honor the Lord in their relationship. Watching Tim and Allison look at each other and savor each moment during the ceremony might have contributed just a bit to the tears that were flowing! We just had alllll the feels. And did you see their walk down the aisle on the wedding video as they were just announced the newly Mr. and Mrs. Tim Jenks?! There wasn’t a worry in the world that could wipe the smiles off the newlyweds’ faces. These two were finally married!

The reception was held at Champions Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky. First, can we just talk about how perfect this evening was. Not only was the weather incredible, but the reception was held under strands of café lights and millions of stars twinkling in the sky above.

Our sweet friends with Doug Smith Designs and Events did an absolutely fabulous job preparing for and decorating the reception. From the smallest details to the towering floral displays that had guests in awe…Doug and Glenn couldn’t have done a better job and we’re always SO grateful when we have the opportunity to work alongside them!

Friends and family enjoyed a delicious meal before hearing the most perfect speeches given my Allison’s sisters and Tim’s best friends. After the cake was cut, the live band opened the dance floor and guests danced the night away. If you wanted to socialize with Tim and Allison, you had to make your way out on to the dance floor because these two were breaking it down together for most of the evening!

To top it all off, the most perfect wedding ended with an awesome sparkler send off for the newly married Mr. and Mrs. Jenks!
