Charlie and Holly were married on March 14, 2015 at A. Keller Farm in Cynthiana, Kentucky and chose Reel Special Productions to capture their wedding video. Check it out below.

What an honor to return once again to film our THIRD wedding on the Ammerman family farm! When we first heard that Charlie, the brother of Sarah and Rachel (check out the links to see the highlight videos from their amazing weddings) was getting married, we were REALLY hoping we would have the opportunity to film it and were overjoyed when Tina, Holly’s mom, reached out to us and confirmed that they did in fact want us to capture their daughter’s wedding video.

We refused to let the threat of rain spoil the day or limit us from capturing some great shots for the wedding video, so we departed from Lexington about an hour early and once we arrived on the property, we saw a break in the clouds and quickly veered off to the side of the road to capture some aerial footage of the fast flowing river and stunning farm landscape. A substantial amount of work had been done in the days leading up to the wedding thanks to the torrential downpours and the snow melting off the gentle rolling hills surrounding the farm. We were so thankful the rain let up and soon after capturing the aerial footage, the clouds continued to break apart and the warmth of the afternoon sun meant we had a rare but beautiful March day to make a wedding video!

We can’t put into words how grateful and welcomed we felt when we arrived to the location where Holly and her bridesmaids were getting ready. Both Mrs. Ammerman (Charlie’s Mom) and Mrs. Miller (Holly’s Mom) greeted us as we arrived and were so excited to have us there. Holly was getting last minute touches done to her makeup when we started filming and before long Holly slipped on her stunning white wedding dress. Her sweet sister (also the maid of honor) helped Holly zip her dress and step into her gorgeous shoes. Brittany stayed with the girls as they were getting ready while Ryan headed over to Charlie’s cabin where the groomsmen were goofing off (and having pictures taken). We loved that we were able to capture last minute preparations for the wedding video moments before Charlie and Holly’s first look!

When the time came for Charlie to head up to the house from his cabin to see his bride, we sneaked Holly into a back room to ensure she wouldn’t see Charlie. After getting the groom into position, Holly gracefully walked down from the front porch steps and tapped Charlie on his shoulder, cuing him to turn around. The couple’s first moment together on their wedding day was so sweet…they were both more than ready to get the wedding festivities started! *(Just in case you’re wondering, first looks on the wedding day are pretty much the best thing ever…we LOVE capturing these for the couple’s wedding video and doing a first look always seems to help the day run so much smoother because it allows the photographer plenty of time to get AWESOME shots of the bride and groom before the formalities of the wedding are set into motion). Ryan also captured some wedding video footage of Charlie and Holly out by one of the barns while Brittany trailed off to the ceremony location on the farm.

The ceremony started right on time thanks to the well-orchestrated planning (and wrangling) by Michele Landers, and it was so awesome to learn that the officiant for the ceremony was a minister that Charlie had known since he was a little boy. The minister was so happy and excited for the bride and groom, and he clearly invested his heart into the message he shared with the lovely couple…it was so precious! With her Dad playing guitar, one of Holly’s bridesmaids sang a beautiful song from one of our favorite artists, Ben Rector (fun side note: the song used in the highlight video is actually a Ben Rector song!) and Charlie’s brother-in-law Dustin (of the famed Dustin + Sarah wedding video) read a wonderful Irish blessing (considering it was right around St. Patty’s Day!). So many special, personal touches for this wedding day made it just perfect.

After the ceremony, guests were invited to the back part of the massive barn which is nestled in the perfect spot on A. Keller Farm. Café lights draped from each end of the ceiling and beautiful bouquets of spring hydrangeas and roses decorated each table as centerpieces. Family and friends enjoyed a delicious buffet meal while listening to some tunes spun by the one and only Tony “The Tiger” with Tiger’s DJ Service. While dinner was served, we were able to get some awesome wedding video footage of the “A” ice sculpture designed by the very talented Michael Stoddart with Lexington Ice Sculptures.

The "A" ice sculpture was created by none other than the award-winning Lexington Ice Sculptures.

The reception was so much fun! Guests were clearly having a blast dancing and singing along to some of their favorite songs while Charlie and Holly celebrated the new Mr. and Mrs. titles. And when the evening came to a close, everyone moved outside to send off the newlyweds in style. Awaiting their departure was a classic white Bentley and a fireworks display…it was the perfect conclusion to a wonderful wedding day!

We loved being a part of Charlie and Holly’s wedding day. The Ammerman and Miller families have a very special place in our hearts and it was an honor to capture this wedding video. Charlie and Holly, as you begin your life together as Mr. and Mrs. Ammerman, we hope and pray that you have an amazing life together and cherish every moment. Blessings to you both!
