Collin and Aly were married on December 6, 2014 at The Livery in downtown Lexington, Kentucky and chose Reel Special Productions to capture their wedding video. Check it out below.

Collin and Aly are just an all around amazing, talented and passionate couple. We were so glad we had the opportunity to spend some time with them before the wedding day and learn more about their story. Collin and Aly met in sixth grade, and although their lives led them on many different journeys (including a successful career in New York City for Aly and a major league baseball career for Collin), this sweet couple chose to combine their paths forever when Collin asked for Aly’s hand in marriage. Considering their amazing love story, it was truly an honor for Reel Special Productions to capture the next chapter in this love story by filming their wedding video.

We first arrived at Gratz Park Inn where we captured some beautiful footage of Aly’s preparations. The bridesmaids were having final touches done with their hair and make up by the oh-so-talented Allison Johnson with Pink Lou Lou Design Studio. Aly and her bridesmaids enjoyed some quality time together before Aly got ready to meet her groom for their first look. Brittany stayed with the girls at the Gratz Park Inn while Ryan headed over to Collin’s incredible downtown apartment to capture wedding video footage of the guys getting ready. We were so glad Collin and Aly had us there to film the preparations; one of our favorite parts from the day was capturing each of them opening their gifts and reading the heartfelt letters they wrote and exchanged before the first look. Hearing their words to one another and seeing the happiness on their faces made it clear to us their love was radiant and true.

After Aly slipped into her beautifully-layered wedding dress, the girls took a limousine bus to The Livery where Collin and Aly would see each other for the first time on their wedding day. The Livery was elegantly decorated and proved to be the perfect location for Collin and Aly to share the incredibly special moment together. The logistics of the first look flowed seamlessly thanks to the always-amazing Alicia Fierro with Aesthetiica Photography. Alicia positioned Collin in the perfect spot as he awaited his gorgeous bride-to-be and as soon as Aly arrived, she gracefully walked towards her groom. The moment Collin turned around to see Aly, the look on his face was absolutely priceless.

We finished filming the first look and moved outside to capture some epic shots for the wedding video. Before we knew it the time had come for the ceremony to begin. One of the many highlights of the day included Aly’s uncle officiating the ceremony. Guests were both laughing and crying tears of joy as we heard the stories that led Collin and Aly together before us on their wedding day. Near the end of the ceremony Aly’s dear friend and former boss read a special poem she wrote to Collin and Aly…there weren’t many dry eyes in the room by the time she was finished! As the ceremony concluded, guests were invited to enjoy a cocktail hour before moving into the reception area at The Livery.

Upon entering the reception space, beautiful wooden tables lined the room with stunning red centerpieces handcrafted by one of our favorite floral designers, Deanna Dillender (also with Great Expectations). The space was perfectly illuminated thanks to the candles, cafe lights and wall-splashed LED uplighting. Once the bridal party was introduced, guests were treated to an amazing meal and Collin and Aly made their way around the room to chat with their loved ones. After the toasts were shared by Collin’s brother and Aly’s maid of honor, the newlyweds cut the cake and shared their first dance.

Once the formal dances concluded, Manhattan-based DJ CIVL instantly energized the guests and took the party to another level. And we just have to say…people were breaking it down but there’s no doubt that Collin’s Dad took top honors with his awesome dance moves!

The reception at The Livery was absolutely stunning thanks to the many vendors who made Aly's vision come to life.
