Ryan and Megan were married on May 16, 2015 on a private Kentucky farm and Reel Special Productions filmed their wedding video. Check it out below!

It seemed as thought it was just yesterday when we first talked to Ryan and Megan about capturing their wedding. The lovely couple had their first date on the family’s gorgeous Kentucky farm — Steele’s Acres — so it was only appropriate that they would choose to have their wedding on that very same farm! After hearing all the special and intimate details of their day, we knew this was going to be an amazing event and we were not disappointed as we captured their wedding video!

We first arrived at the home where Megan and her bridesmaids were getting ready. The girls had just finished with hair and makeup and Megan was ready to slip on her gorgeous white wedding dress. Despite the rainy forecast, all the girls were full of energy and excited to get the day going. Megan’s mom fastened her dress and added the final touches with stunning pearl earrings and a beautiful necklace. The girls soon headed to the ceremony venue on a party bus and Brittany was able to capture some really fun shots for the wedding video…especially when Megan read a card her mother had written to her for her wedding day.

Ryan and Megan chose not to see one another before the ceremony so it was definitely an adventure keeping them from crossing paths once the full wedding party was all in the same area on the farm. Before the groom headed up to the house where he was planning to get ready, Ryan was able to capture some fun shots of the guys shooting guns and having a good time despite the scattered rain showers that passed over the area. Ryan and Megan were originally planning on having the ceremony on a beautiful bluff overlooking the Ohio River, but due to the unpredictable weather they decided to move the location to a gorgeous black barn on another part of the farm property.

The newlyweds tied the knot in front of hundreds of their friends and family.

Just before the ceremony was set to begin, the clouds broke and the rain ceased just long enough for us to capture some incredible aerial footage and some breathtaking shots of Megan and her bridesmaids overlooking one of the most spectacular views of the Ohio River. The wedding video simply didn’t do justice to the view!

As guests arrived they were directed to park near the reception tent and were then treated to a convenient shuttle ride (in a limo bus!) to the location where the ceremony was to be held. Once the last shuttle of guests were dropped off and seated, Ryan and his groomsmen made their way to the front of the barn and the bridesmaids started making their way down the aisle. We made sure to get a great shot of Ryan as he saw Megan for the first time walking up the aisle towards him. The reaction of both Ryan and Megan was priceless…it was clear by the expressions on their faces that the couple shares a deep love for one another! It was also clear that Ryan and Megan are loved dearly by many others; hundreds of guests filled every open seat in the barn! The ceremony was officiated by Judge Debra DeWeese, a dear family friend of Megan’s parents. Ryan and Megan shared their vows with one another and lit a unity candle to commemorate their union as husband and wife.

Immediately after the ceremony we worked alongside the wedding photographers to capture some shots of the family as well as some fun shots of the newlyweds together for the first time as husband and wife. We wrapped up the post-ceremony photos and video just as it started sprinkling, so we all made our way over to the beautiful white reception tent where the guests were enjoying a cocktail hour and music played by the DJ. The tables were decorated with personalized favors and elegant dinnerware.

After the bridal party and newlyweds were introduced, guests enjoyed a catered buffet meal before the formal reception festivities began. Several family members and close friends toasted Ryan and Megan, leaving guests both laughing and crying…it was precious! And we absolutely loved capturing the bride and groom’s first dance together for the wedding video! Ryan and Megan danced to one of our favorite songs, A Beautiful Place to Be by Tyrone Wells (in fact, this song was featured in a wedding video from a couple of years ago!). Our evening ended with an absolutely stunning sunset and plenty of fun footage of guests breaking it down on the dance floor.

The three tiered chocolate and vanilla buttercream cake was a hit with guests!

Ryan and Megan, it was such an honor for us to have the opportunity to capture such a special event for you and your loved ones. We hope that as you look back on your wedding video you will be able to relive and cherish your amazing day. We wish you all the best for many years to come!
