Matt and Becky were married on August 23, 2014 at the Frazier History Museum in Louisville, Kentucky and chose Reel Special Productions to capture their wedding video. Check it out below.

Becky and her sisters were shared lots of love, laughter and encouragement throughout the day.

Becky and her sisters were shared lots of love, laughter and encouragement throughout the day.

We first arrived at the Galt House to capture some shots of Becky and her bridesmaids getting ready so we could include that footage in the highlights for the wedding video. Becky looked absolutely stunning, which came as no surprise considering her über-talented sister, Allison (owner of PinkLouLou with a rockin’ blog on glamorous hair, makeup and life adventures), did her hair and makeup for this special day. Becky is super close with Allison and her other sister, Hannah (who currently lives in Hawaii…we’re jealous!), so once Allison and Hannah helped Becky with the finishing touches, the bride emerged from her suite in the Galt House and nearly brought her bridesmaids to tears. From the hotel it was on to a beautiful park in old Louisville where Becky would meet her groom-to-be. Needless to say, but we were SOOOO excited to be a part of this special day! We arrived at the park with Becky and scoped out the best place for the first look with Matt, her groom. Claire and Barrett with Claire Marie Photo found the perfect spot for this incredibly special moment, so we hid Becky in our car as Matt made his way underneath a long ivy-covered trellis where he and Becky would soon greet one another (we can’t begin to tell you how much we love capturing the first-look for a wedding video!). Once Becky and Matt had a few minutes to themselves, we were able to capture some intimate shots of the lovely couple before the bridal party arrived. Just as the trolley arrived, so did the rain. What started as a light sprinkle eventually became a steady downpour so after Claire and Barrett snapped some individual shots with the bridal party, we decided to load up onto the trolley and head back to the ceremony & reception venue.

The wedding ceremony took place inside the Frazier Museum in Louisville, Kentucky.

The ceremony took place inside the Frazier Museum in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. The museum was an absolutely beautiful venue from top to bottom, so we knew that regardless of the rain we were going to get some great wedding video footage. Before the ceremony began, we were able to get some shots of the beautifully-decorated reception area filled with enormous blooms of hydrangeas and touches of gold and white throughout the room. Following the ceremony, we ventured up to the rooftop of the Frazier History Museum and worked alongside Claire Marie Photo to capture footage of the bridal party and the newlyweds’ families. The rain held off just long enough to get some shots before we returned to film the reception. Matt and Becky were announced as the newly Mr. and Mrs. Shipley, then the guests were treated to a delicious buffet dinner catered by Masterson’s. The bride and groom shared their first dance then made their way over to cut the cake. Becky’s sisters offered their toasts and Matt’s two brothers followed suit. There was nothing but smiles and cheers shared by everyone in the room. Guests enjoyed dancing the night away and savored the delectable cake from Heitzman Bakery. Throughout the evening, everyone had a blast in the photo booth provided by The Party Stage and we were able to capture Matt and Becky goofing it up for the wedding video.

The newlyweds were beaming with joy at the reception.

Matt and Becky are such a sweet couple and we enjoyed being a part of their special day. Even though the weather didn’t cooperate, at the end of the night all that mattered was the fact that these two lovely people were married and were soon on their way to honeymoon in Mexico! We loved getting working alongside Claire Marie Photo and spending so much quality time with our sweet friend Allison (aka PinkLouLou) as her sister tied the knot. We wish the bride and groom many years of love, laughter, and happiness…especially when watching your wedding video!
