Clint and Anne were married at St. Peter Parish in Lexington, Kentucky.

Can we just start by saying how sweet Clint and Anne were? We were elated when this lovely couple booked our wedding video services well over a year before their wedding day, but it wasn’t until this summer that we had the opportunity to meet with them face-to-face. The newlyweds were planning their wedding from the windy city of Chicago where they currently reside, but thanks to Anne’s keen attention to detail and remarkable lineup of wedding vendors, everything was pretty much planned and ready to go long before the big day arrived! We were so excited for October knowing this was going to be a wonderful wedding…and we couldn’t have been more right!

Our first filming location was a magnificent suite at Gratz Park Inn where Anne was getting ready with her bridesmaids. Upon our arrival Anne had just finished getting her  makeup done by the fabulously-talented Ana Crane. The bride-to-be was so calm, relaxed, and more than anything…excited! As soon as the photographer arrived we all got in place and captured Anne moments after she stepped into her stunning white wedding dress and sparkly Kate Spade heels! After all the girls finished getting ready they gathered around Anne to see her open her gift from Clint. As if there was any question, Clint was clearly the perfect match for Anne and you could tell by her reaction to his sweet gifts. Anne was simply smitten by the engraved necklace that she wore as part of her bridal jewelry. Moments later we strolled over to Gratz Park with Anne and her bridesmaids where the photographers snapped some photos and we filmed some great wedding video footage before everyone hopped on a chartered trolley to head to the ceremony.

The gorgeous reception took place at the Carrick House.

In full-disclosure, Ryan was raised in a Baptist church and Brittany’s Dad is a Methodist pastor in Knoxville, Tennessee, so Catholicism isn’t something we had much exposure to before we started filming weddings. In fact, you would have had a good laugh if you saw us capturing our first Catholic ceremony with mass (let’s just say we almost ran out of tape and batteries). We have since filmed several Catholic ceremonies and this was without question one of our favorites! Not only could we see the love radiating from Clint and Anne, but the priest was so engaging, funny and thoughtful. He spent time getting to know them and shared about their interests, which included Notre Dame, puzzles and their adorable dog (who made a cameo at the reception). The priest even sang a Rascal Flatts song at one point DURING the ceremony (we couldn’t make this stuff up!).

The reception was held at the Carrick House in downtown Lexington. Guests enjoyed a wonderful cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres and drinks while Clint and Anne were having photographs taken with their family and bridal party. Moments before Clint and Anne arrived, the fabulous wedding planner, Alicia Collins with Great Expectations KY, and her team drew back the tall white curtains leading into the reception area and guests were invited to take their place cards and be seated. Clint and Anne were announced to the reception area along with their bridal party and carried in their sweet dog…it was precious! Immediately after the introduction, Clint and Anne shared their first dance together as husband and wife. Time flew by and before we knew it, guests were dancing the night away and having a great time! As the night concluded, Clint and Anne made a grand exit by way of a horse and carriage highlighted with sparklers. We were able to capture aerial footage of the send-off…it will certainly make for a unique perspective and a great ending to their wedding video!
