Jamie and Katelyn were married on September 6, 2014 at First Christian Church in Georgetown, Kentucky and chose Reel Special Productions to capture their wedding video. Check it out below.

It was another gorgeous Saturday in the Bluegrass and we were so excited to head to the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort to capture footage for Jamie and Katelyn’s wedding video. As we were walking in, we were overjoyed to see Katelyn’s sister, Jenna, getting ready in the room next to Jamie. Earlier this year, Jenna got married and also chose Reel Special to capture her wedding to Tim (here are highlights from their wedding day)!

Once we arrived, we headed straight up to the bridal suite where Katelyn was having final touches done to her hair and makeup. We knew it was going to be a pretty spectacular day once we saw how calm and excited Katelyn was to marry her groom, and to top it all off, we got to work along side the amazingly-talented husband and wife duo, Matt and Kelsey with Malicote Photography. After capturing some great prep footage, Katelyn put on her beautiful lace dress, slipped on her shoes and headed out the door for her first look with her soon-to-be husband, Jamie.

As Jamie zipped away on a golf cart to head to exact spot of the first look — a gorgeous bridge leading to the 14th tee box on Griffin Gate’s immaculate golf course. Once Jamie was in place, Katelyn grabbed her bouquet and made the short walk across the bridge to meet Jamie…it was such a precious moment and we absolutely love capturing that moment for the wedding video! Needless to say, but Jamie was absolutely elated at the sight of his bride and they were both so excited to tie the knot! As Malicote Photography took photos with a stunning backdrop surrounding us all, we captured some intimate footage of Jamie and Katelyn together for the wedding video. They were pretty precious together…so laid back and easy to work with…but best of all, they were having so much fun taking in every second with one another. It was as if there were no cameras around…so great! And did we mention how beautiful it was outside? We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day!

Before heading to the ceremony, we made a quick stop at Winstar Farm to take photos and capture some incredible wedding video footage of Jamie and Katelyn with their bridal party. The farm was perfectly landscaped and featured a beautiful pond centered on the property. We had a great time walking around different areas of the farm to get a variety of shots with everyone together.

The ceremony was held at the First Christian Church of Georgetown, Kentucky. Since Malicote Photography was able to get most of the shots they needed, all we had left was to capture Jamie and Katelyn with their families. We knocked that part out in a matter of minutes and before we knew it, guests were filling the pews of the church and the ceremony got underway. The minister did a wonderful job sharing a message about marriage and affirmed the couple’s commitment to one another before they recited their vows and exchanged rings. One of Katelyn’s bridesmaids sang a special song while playing her guitar during the ceremony. Everything about the ceremony was simply beautiful!

There were so many thoughtful and creative touches at Jamie and Katelyn's wedding reception, including this popcorn stand for guests.

The reception took place at the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort in Lexington, Kentucky. We absolutely LOVE filming wedding videos at different places, but Griffin Gate is without question one of our absolute favorites because of the impeccable service and warm hospitality they provide to everyone (including the vendors!). Inside the large tent were beautiful fall flowers that adorned each table. And did you catch the shot of the fun popcorn stand? While guests were waiting on Jamie and Katelyn to arrive, they could fill small bags with popcorn and season it to their liking. It was so creative and the first time we’ve captured this specific idea on a wedding video! Once the bridal party arrived, everyone was served and Jamie and Katelyn eventually made their way around to mingle with the guests. All the special dances and toasts flowed seamlessly thanks to Tony the Tiger, and it didn’t take long for the party to really get rockin’.

This gorgeous cake was one of the featured centerpieces on display at the reception.

Jamie and Katelyn were such a fun couple to work with and be around. We love the sweet relationship they share and felt honored to be a part of their special day. We are so happy that Katelyn and her sister both chose Reel Special Productions and consider it a huge honor when families trust us to document such important moments in their lives. Jamie and Katelyn, we wish you all the best and hope you will love and cherish watching your wedding video for many years to come. Cheers!
